So far... Lots of season to go still.

Uconn:

Passing 206 yards

Rushing 88 yards

Total offensive yards 287

Total points scored = 17 pts

Maryland:

Passing 325 yards

Rushing 251 yards

Total offensive yards 576

Total points scored = 43 pts

Michigan:

Passing 221 yards

Rushing 242 yards

Total offensive yards 463

Total points scored = 59 pts

Cincinnati:

Passing 204 yards

Rushing 221 yards

Total offensive yards 425

Total points scored = 42 pts

Louisville:

Passing 416 yards

Rushing 199 yards

Total offensive yards 615

Total points scored = 49

Rutgers

Passing 348 yards

Rushing 195 yards

Total offensive yards 543

Total points scored = 51 pts

Things that stand out to me when I go through the stats.

Why do we only allow Mccombs to run the ball? The ESPN rushing stats for Uconn are all screwed up but from what I see Delorenzo had 12 yards on 1 carry and yet the coaching staff didn't use him again? Looking at the other teams they utilize far more players for both receivers and running backs. Pasqualoni seems to stick to favorites regardless of how they are producing.

I did find an opponent who's stats matches Uconn's pretty evenly... Buffalo.

Watching the other games kept me interested. While at the game on Thursday I found myself being one of 'those' people who were more interested in the festivities under the scoreboard. That's never happened to me before. Uconn has it's work cut out for them these next few weeks. Hopefully, as Pasqualoni is implying, our performance is no call for alarm ... Watching more film will correct all the problems.

The national media certainly don't think our film work will help.

CONNECTICUT IS EVEN WORSE THAN EXPECTED
Andy Lyons
Connecticut has only won five games in each of the past two seasons, so not a lot was expected of it coming into 2013. The Huskies might be worse than expected after an opening 33-18 loss to Towson.
That is definitely one of the most embarrassing losses of opening weekend for any team.
It looks like it will be back to the drawing board for Connecticut.

But with the pathetic defense from Rutgers, we will light up the score board against them.

No offense intended but (even if it is bad by FBS standards) do you really believe that Rutgers will have a worse defense than what we saw Thursday evening? Most of our big plays (including our first TD) were due to blown coverages on Towsons's part, coverages that we cannot expect to be blown by most of the other teams on our schedule.

Yeah I fail to see how we dominate a FBS opponent after being dominated by a FCS opponent. All aboard the SS Pasqualoni...next stop: the bottom of the Connecticut River.
