Baylor had a 31.7 offensive rebounding/available rebounds percentage.

Over the magical 30% number.

DD, this was just one of those games where the stats , figures , and averages just didn't play out. Players missed shots that they normally make ; shots rolled off the rims ; Sims and other Baylor players attempted off balance and crazy shots creating offensive rebound opportunities , but the second attempts by the Baylor players were met with better UConn defensive stops.

This was just one of those games and one of those days.

Very simple. UCONN had a 33% offensive rebounding/available rebounds percentage. ;) or

I forgot the sarcasm emoticon.

Sorry.

Sims took 25 of the 59 shots Baylor attempted. She made 4 shots (16%), thats
42% of Baylors shots taken. She made 2 baskets in each half and turned the ball
over 7 times. Sims is a great player and will do well in the WNBA when
surrounded by other good players.
We must give our defense credit for making Sims work for every shot and force
many of them. I think Stokes gloved 2 of her shots also. Mojet and Hartley
combined to do an excellent job on her. I have watched a couple of Baylor
games this yr and she gave the other team fits getting into the paint.
I have to give Baylor a lot of credit for the way they played hard and gave
Uconn a battle. Baylor will make so noise in the NCAA's.

And why did you have to bring that up? Now PHS is going to file a protest about the 2003 NC game where the Vols got over 53% of the O-Reb chances but got cheated out of the win by an unscrupulous scorekeeper.

Guess now I'm going to have to go back to worshipping the number 8 again.

They took out their revenge against a Rutgers team by stalling the clock, remember?

Sims's attitude positively or negatively affects her teammates more than anything else........When she is up the team is up and when she has that feeling of despair, her team feels the same.........UCONN played their "C" game and still won by 11.............I like Baylor they never quit and they pushed our post players all over the paint...........
