Guys, what is the natter with you? ND as a team is not as good as last year and some of you are nervous!!!
Let's hope no body gets hurt. Stewie and Tuck will have a field day because of the mix match, our post players will tear them apart. Our quick switch on defense will shut down their guards and their mid jumpers, and if they can get by our guards then the best swatter Stoke will be waiting for them.

By half time ND will in be in awe and didn't know what has just hit them. ;)
My level of anxiety has far less correlation with their odds of winning than you might think. This is a championship game and 40 minutes will determine the legacy of this team. I don't have any control over it, so I'm nervous.

I"m a 1-2, but not because of any "got it in the bag" feeling. Part of it is knowing that I cannot affect the outcome at all, I can only enjoy watching it play out.

But, part of it is - it's just how I operate - whether as a fan, as a coach, or during big "life events", I do best if I get a little excited, but not too excited. I'm comfortable being the "calmly confident" figure when all around me are bouncing off the walls or going batship. I focus best when not too excited, when I can absorb some of the excess energy distracting the folks around me.

Crimeny! Get agitated. DVR is for not too exited, not too distracted viewing! "calmly confident" acting is what it is, wine drunk bear!

Nervous, but pre-game mojo helps- We've got our tv decorated (pics of us right side up, them upside down).
Brings my 5-6 level nerves down to 3-4 level.

Whenever I start feeling like a 1-2 I remember the 1985 Georgetown-Villanova men's NC game, and develop a healthy dose of humility.

I'm more nervous than last year because . . . we have the Jinx factor going this year with everyone picking UConn ....

Last year was different? lol

.-.
If it was any other team than ND I would be as cool as a cucumber. But I'm pretty jumpy right now. I can barely sit still at my desk. I need to pace..because that's what I do during the games I watch...pace.

My thoughts EXACTLY!!

yeah, during the ND-SC game I was thinking if SC won, I could even live with us losing to MD since I wouldn't be so upset with one of them winning the championship. Not happy, just able to live with it. if ND wins the championship, though, I will be beside myself.

It is not the time or place for UCONN fans to be nervous. This is what the goal is every year, in Geno we trust. Let him be nervous. If that does not work toss back a cocktail / beer or three and enjoy the game! :D
HUSKIES ROCK'N THE SHAMROCKS IT TAMPA.....YEEEEEEEE...HAAAWWWWWWW !!!!!!!!!!!

.-.
I'm being crucified ion ESPN for defending Geno's coaching legacy.. I should know better than to post there.

Here in Tampa. Not that nervous. If we lose, they'll deserve it. Cause they'll have to play a great game.

5-6 for these reasons..
ND has been a thorn in UConn's side on and off for a while including as recently as the last 4-5 years. psychologically they know they can beat UConn.
law of averages - if ND makes enough appearances in the championship game, eventually they will win. conversely if UC makes enough appearances, eventually they will lose. that could be tonight.
ND's revenge factor for the last 2 yrs.

Your "theys" are getting confusing, but I think I understand and just want to say...No Bl**ping Way they deserve anything but an NCCA Championship - they being the ones in the Huskies logo wear. Clear?

You come with that tonight??? No wonder the Yanks, my Yanks, are in such desperate trouble!

nursing a nice Rioja, and feeling calmly confident!

I'm pretty much the same off of a Shiraz ... very rich, very smooth... hope to stay there til it's over! Oh, wait:
