This is UConn's lifeline for a few years as we await another round of realignment. There is no way that any team could survive and compete w/ the AAC's tv contract. I know the Catholics paid out a good chunk of change, but UConn also gets it's own exit fee money as well as NCAA credits from all that left. Does anybody have an estimate of UConn's total take as it may have to last for a few years?

That sounds right. The total number was about $100m, but we gave some to the incoming members before we gave them a boatload of NCAA credits and our women's bball for free. Not sure what USF has contributed yet.

This was year 1. So we will get 25 million paid out over 4 years - so $6.25 million paid out to us in 2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons.

The source is in the quote box. Uconn, cincinnati and usf each ger $25 mm.

Sorry I misread your post. I thought you were saying they were dividing the 25.5mm
Between the 3 schools. That was a shocker.

...and don't forget that there is a time lag on our NCAA credits from this year as well.
