Now that players will be able to profit due to NIL, the next step is, our slots go to the highest bidders coming out of the portal. It's a two-way street. Kids are gonna make bank by showcasing their goods at UCONN. They'll have to ante up if they want a revered spot on this stage.

In the 1990s, I had friends that moved from tech job to tech job each year, and each year they collected signing bonuses, big ones, and they would also get bonuses for recruiting friends, and sometimes girlfriends, and their friends and sometimes girlfriends would follow them to the next job. And all would receive bonuses.
It reminds me of the tennis world where players take under the table appearance fees, deliberately bag the first match of the tournament, then move on to the next tournament where they get appearance fees again, because those appearance fees are often bigger than the prize purse, and they do this several times a year, as long as they can lose a few early and still maintain their overall ranking, because getting an appearance fee for a tourney is better pay than spending three weeks trying to get the grand prize.
This means that NIL money will need to be paid not only to high school freshman, but the NIL collectives at each university need to get to work re-recruiting every player again and again and again!
