How Long…..

Losing Rosa for his final year hurts. I could see him getting more opportunities for swing passes out of the backfield next season.
Chadwick was our Elvis Patterson.
Hopefully Chadwick is keeping an open mind, like Skyler last December. If the new coach believes that Chadwick fits his schemes, would love to see him back in National Flag Blue...

It doesn't hurt to enter the portal just in case UConn hires PP 2.0 or worse.

Always best to have options and to potentially leverage for a raise. Suprised more aren't doing it. (Sorry if I jinxed it)

They just need that "player option" to flex out of their "contract" since this is more like pro sports than old college rules.

It would be ideal if we can land a coach who can talk to current commits before 12/3/25.

AD DB must have some idea that Mora wasn't happy about some things. I hope he has a list ready to go for situations like this.

Due to recruiting timelines, we need a coach ASAP to keep all the commitments we already got unless he has a better plan.
He had the list in his desk whether or not he had an inkling that Mora might exit. An AD has to be ready to act if the coach gets hit by a bus.

The obsession people have with victor Rosa is unbelievable. How does losing him hurt? He barely played. He wouldn’t have played next year either. I would certainly hope whoever we hire can bring an a more impactful player in the portal than that.

The inability to understand why people were puzzled is unbelievable. When he stepped in as a freshman as an emergency due to multiple injuries in the RB room, he performed really really well. As a true freshman. And since he got hurt in his true sophomore year, no one saw him get a real chance, but only knew that with statistically insignificant touches he performed fine.

Why wouldn’t folks wonder how much better he could be three years later if given a chance?

I think he has had enough reps to show he is a gamer and a good running back, not a great back. He has a bad tendency to bounce out instead of exploiting counterflow cutbacks. Got nothing but respect for a CT homer but I don’t think he’s a skill player that puts us at a level we need. I can understand a desire to get more PT and hope he does great wherever he ends up. He hung in with the traitor and deserves a place to play.

…..until we hear anything? Until an actual hire? 24 hours has seemed like a month! What’s the betting population say with all their overs and unders and parlays??

This. I don't think him leaving was an indictment on UConn. Mora is an old man and probably wants to get back to the rocky mountains, where his family and home are. He turned down Stanford and OSU as well, two jobs certainly better than CSU. He was interested in the Colorado job before Deion
I think you're overstating the "old man" stuff. He is known to be in good health and apparently still enjoys coaching, and at 64 years of age could very well go another 6-8 years. If he just wanted a change of scenery, that's another story. We'll just have to see what he says on why he chose to leave but the timing seems abrupt to me.

Rosa was given the chance for three straight spring and fall camps.

There's a reason he never got above third string on depth chart when all RB's were healthy.

Wish him well. But he isn't getting more reps at any school at or above UConn's level.

I can state with a very high level of confidence that our next head football coach will officially be hired roughly five business days after the official posting of the open position.
I wonder why his profile is still up on the UConn athletics site as of this evening...take it down already, he's no longer our coach per his X page.
