I’m probably on an island, but these train of thoughts that’s okay with capping a player as good enough for their role is just weird to me.

The goal is for guys to be as good as they possibly can be. Which also connects with winning if a player is as good as they possibly can be.

I think you go into defensive mode way too fast with Ross. Not everyone is out to get him and hates him. I agree with everything you're saying here. All I'm saying is he's not a guy who needs to get 15 shots and a focal point of the offense for him to continue to improve. That's a compliment to him, not every player is able to contribute in the ways he can without getting shots

I’m not saying he’s a 15 shots a game #1 option. But I don’t care enough to expound on the point right now.

Just happy he seems to finally be over the mental hurdle enough to start actually showcasing and growing his game.

Really like how he runs the court in transition too. I think the team plays more up tempo and attacks more when he’s in.

He does need to avoid the temptation to bite on pump fakes though. But in fairness to him, he’s also blocked a few big perimeter shots & gotten steals with his aggressiveness.

Have to take the good and the bad - he brings something unique to the floor that brings good balance.
 
Ross is an unsung player. His growth is steady, especially so with his getting Stewart's minutes. He can play three positions, good for minutes and a dynamic player that we need. He can get the crowd on their feet. A vote for Ross is a vote for our future. He is a true company man, the fabric that superior teams are built upon. Go Ross, Rebie, Smith and Stuwart. What a great law firm name.

1) to show you can develop into a more impactful role at UConn, as an example for future recruiting

2) to have as much system continuity starting the game as possible.

3) to reward loyalty at its utmost in maintaining culture
 
More Ross please. He and Solo should be splitting time. With a Ross Mullins Silas the offense is more dynamic as Ross is more of a threat to go to the rim

His defense is miles beyond Ball even with the pump fake bite (which I feel is more being pressed for playing time and trying to make something happen)
 
I think Ross should start in the BE Tourney. Not sure that Mullins & Ball are the best combo for extended periods. Mullins or Ball can be the 6th man. Ross / Mullins / Ball could all still get good mins but I'd like to see less of Ball & Mullins out on the floor together....too redundant.

Pretty clear that Dan Hurley has lost faith in Malachi so it's a 7 man rotation at this point so plenty of minutes for the 7 of them.
