How good was Sarah Strong in the Nationalchampionship game?

.-.
Theoretically this the worst we’ll ever see her. Freshmen are supposed to improve no?
Edwards did not her sophomore season. Just saying.

The "Natural"---- Mom and Dad sneaked into a gym and conceived her at center court in the jump ball circle. :)

I read a report that her mother actually played after she became pregnant. Will this start a new trend?

I believe she played WAY above her years...She gave arguably one of the best performances by a Freshman in the Biggest Game of the Year EVER. I know some will argue that Stewie may have had a better Championship Game...that's why I said "one of the best performances by a freshman.."

So good that I don’t bother worrying about next season !
I'm excited about next season, but Paige left huge shoes to fill. We've got a tremendous amount of talent, but it wouldn't surprise me if it took a little bit to establish our new equilibrium.

No. She played on a team this year with other superstars and she was somewhat the third option as teams prepared for UConn. Next year she will be the ONE that teams prepare for so unless she has sufficient help around her her stats could suffer even if she is a better player. To me she is very good but what separateds her from the others is she doesn't shy away from the big moments.

I not accurate to say she was the third option on the team this year

It is actually amazing as well that Sarah very rarely loses the opening jump ball (the only one she lost from memory was to Betts)

Pretty darn good:

What I learned from this SARAH highlight tape vs South Carolina
is that Chloe Kitts could not guard Sarah and SaraH COULD
defend Ms. Kitts. Also, that NO ONE could drive to the basket
for the Gamecocks with SARAH roaming in the PAINT! NICE!

Not only does she not shy away from them, she barely seems to recognize them. She just chugs along expressionless doing her thing making the right play one after another. It's fascinating to watch.
