Pitt defense looked slow, especially the D line. #90 was a strong looking guy but just could not move around enough. Scheme seemed like Uconn's old plans vs spread (and Navy) where let offense dictate everything and therefore every missed play by the D was a big play. The had lot of LB's on backs (like Sio last year which put him in some impossible coverage situations). Pitt looked little better on D when got after Cin. Both teams left a lot of points off the scoreboard. If Pitt passing more accurate could have had 3 more TD's; Cinn QB missed lot of open guys.
Both teams played lot of running backs, Uconn has to start doing some of that, the wilddog just isn't the same. Got to be able to pound when you need to.

In fact, with W. Virginia gone, it wouldn't surprise me if either Louisville and/or Cincinnatti became the dominant, perennial "powerhouse" teams the talking heads are looking for in the BE. Both have explosive, entertaining offenses.

How about even if WVU stayed.

Over the past 4 years, Cincy has won two BE title outright with 7-0 & 6-1 records and tied for first another year at 5-2.

Over the last 4 years, WVU tied for first twice with 5-2 records.

Really, Cincy has been the best BE team for a few years.
