How excited should we be getting with everything starting to look familiar.?

Yes i agree.

The team that lost to Hall and Colorado is not the same team as the one we saw last night.

And every year there is a reach around contest praising a non-BE conference as being full of a race of athletic aliens that UConn hasn't seen the likes of.

My favorite, still, was the narrative surrounding Illinois last year. The best UConn team of all time and we were all - "we don't see the likes of Shannon in the big east."
One thing was true, it WAS a matchup nightmare.... but not for us.

16-0 right now is all we know (post season run)....hey we love March!

"Really, really confused" is a bit of an overstatement, maybe? I said it happened for various reasons. El-Amin getting hurt was one of those reasons.

We looked like world-beaters to close the '05 season. The postseason was a total letdown.

In 2012, it was the Big East tournament. When we beat West Virginia, there was a lot of "They're doing it again!" talk. It didn't last.
You're remembering an alternate reality. In 2012 hey lost 9 of 13 and 11 of 17 to close the regular season. On Dec 31st they were 12-1 and finished the regular season 18-12. They beat DePaul and WVU in OT

When we’re on, we look like a really good team (like the last 10 minutes last night). A team that could pick off a top seed

When we’re off, we look like a really bad team (like the first 30 minutes last night). A team that could lose handily to a 9 seed

We’ve looked really good for most of the last 2.5 weeks, but I’m not sure which team to expect on a game to game basis

Tonight is a game between a team that played 2OT last night and a team that played 12 hours ago. I don’t think we’ll see either at their best today, but it’d be nice to see us build on the momentum from yesterday’s second half

And then we flip a coin and see what happens!
Yeah, but what was that game for the first 30 minutes ? Nova hitting one on one shots one after another and UConn missing open shots.

Just one game at a time. If Alex is hitting his three’s we are a top 15 team in my opinion. Also if we can get productive minutes out of Mahaney’s or Stewart it helps.

I also think Alex defense and rebounding even blocks seem to be more motivational for the team when he is shooting well. He is very long, I know he is not the most athletic but his length gives opponents problems.

If we play well as described, we should be competitive even against a one seed.
