When adding a link to the text area I see people can label a link "UConn Bound" instead of the url.
How do I do that?

Just write as you normally would and then decide where you'd like the link

Highlight that text- that will enable the 'hyperlink' symbol in the toolbar above. (It looks like a chain link.)

Click on the symbol - that will bring up a text field. Cut and paste your link there and click insert.

And then.....Bam!

You're done!

the "link" box... why is mine dark blue to the point that I cant see the URL that Im putting into the box (black on dark blue is impossible)

I can't get it to work. So I'll just forget it
write "link" in this box... highlight it... press the link icon, a box will show up (just above this box)... paste (drop) the link that you copied from whatever site you're trying to show into that box. press insert.

should be done

Write what what you want to write....

Find the link you want and copy it.

Now...highlight the desired text with your mouse or trackpad or whatever...

Go to the menu bar about and pick the icon that looks like a chain link.

Click it.

A box will pop up.

In the field marked URL, click inside the field and then paste the link you copied earlier.

Click Insert.

Done.

Done it, I don't suppose using an iPad makes a difference?

It worked just fine with the iPad...

You find something you want to link to - copy that URL by long-pressing it and using Select All and then Copy.

Then, you come here.

You type what you want and then long press on the word or phrase where you want to add the hyperlink. Chose "Select".

Immediately go to the menu above and choose the Link icon represented by a chain link.

In the URL field, long press on it and choose Paste and and then Insert.

Done and done.
