How Danny Hurley Planned This Moment

Come on. Dan Hurley’s leash is long now. Let’s sit back and watch. Enjoy the ups and downs of recruiting and reloading. Can’t win it all every year.
I agree… enjoy a team that is going to play hard every game….Dan Hurley coached team’s always do

Now we all have to suffer through a “rebuilding year”, I’m getting too old for this ….
You just watched UConn win a national championship a little over 2 weeks ago, their 5th national championship in the past 24 seasons. They have a returning center who will probably be a player of the year candidate, they have a power forward who led the team in minutes this past season and shot 40% from three while playing winning basketball all season. They have maybe the best recruiting class in UConn history coming in and they'll most likely have one or two of their other studs returning from last season.

Think before posting. Most college basketball fans who live a long life never get to experience one national championship.

Great post. Maybe fans are not expressing it well but most wanted the glory of having a fighting chance of defending the title. Not that we won’t or can’t but having a few more of the same players would make it emotionally satisfying.

Think before posting. Every Syracuse, Georgetown or Arizona fan has only lived long enough to experience one national championship.

Fixed it for you.

Wonderful perspective! I'd also add that they have one of the best top-to-bottom coaching staffs in the country coming back in its entirety (per the most recent Borges article). A+ recruiters and demonstrated ability to find exactly the right guys in the portal.

Not sure how that was your read. If rebuilding is a top four finish in the BE and a possible run to sweet 16 I will take. Hurley will have at least two chips maybe three by the time he leaves.
Dan Hurley needs to win the NBE tournament and be a top 2 team in conference at worse. He needs to be where Nova was for an extended period. Not denying at all that the NC was a great thing but consistently being the best in the league is where most any coach wants to be. To be honest, winning your league is actually harder to do than make the sweet 16. Playing against common foes at least twice and winning a majority Ie 80% of your league games is incredibly difficult. Are you willing to bet your house on Dan Hurley winning 3 more at UConn? JC didn’t win 4 and as they say, Dan Hurley ain’t no JC.
Love this years success and hope for more but theres a lot of over hype going on. Let’s enjoy this before you bet the ranch.
The xfer portal will make the playing field very level within the top 50 program arena.
