With all the "attrition" ( and probably more to come ) I can see us ending up with over the 25 newcomers by Fall 2012 alotted (a la the SEC schools... still don't understand how they quite get away with that stuff )...

Thoughts????

i think we will get 25, with prob 5 of them here in janurary.

the rule is you can have 25 in a class. you can bring in more depending on how many enroll early. so if uconn brought in 25 and 5 came in jan, then uconn can bring in 5 more. its something like that.

they count transfers too right?......that would put us at 21
I don't think so, because I think the transfers coming in transferred in this year 2011... not towards 2012.

they count kids that are transferring in for next year. and I believe they do count towards the 25

But do they count the kids that transferred out too? They should... We lost how many kids ( Difton, Generett, Kinnard to transfer... Lang and Aiken got the axe )... that's 5 kids that were counted as scholly players.... Shouldn't this offset?

That's true it might. I'm not sure

Transfers count towards the year four years removed from when they were initially set to gaduate. Early (Jan-12) enrollee's count towards last year's class (I don't know if the 25 man limit is in play for that, adding early enrollees to prior year additions). It would not be beyond the realm of possibilty to have 30-32 new faces on the roster next summer.

I can easily see that for this team next season...

I expect to see more players transfer out next season. TO be expected with a coaching change.

Even if we get a bunch they probably won't be very good. Nobody wants to play for a 70 year old geezer.

right no talented players go to play for Joe Paterno either

Paterno = HCPP? In what 3rd world nation?

I think he was referring to OC/Coach DeLeone, he is grouchy and kids do not all like his yelling, hard style, plus it has not been all so great for UCONN offense this season.
