Planning on heading to Fenway soon. Always used to do the trip from Stamford and back in one day.

This time plan on staying in Boston.

Any recommendations for a hotel near Fenway>

Thank you

I've enjoyed my stay at The Boxer.

3 miles from Fenway (easy Uber) and just 3/4 from the North End (beautiful neighborhood, amazing Italian).

The Inn at Longwood is in the Longwood medical area about 1/2 mile from the ballpark. It's small and comfortable yet not far from the T to get around the city. They used to have good weekend rates but I haven't stayed there in a few years so YMMV. It's an easy walk right down Brookline Avenue to get to Fenway.

The Verb is a Rock and Roll themed hotel right behind the first baseline. There is a record player and speaker in every room and about 1,500 albums in the lobby that you can take back to your room. Heated pool too.

Anything on the Green Line.

The website Travelzoo often has deals on nice Boston hotels. Nothing today, though. :(

Really depends on what you want to see/do beyond Fenway. Boston is a very small an compact city even without the T. You can cover a lot of ground on foot.

Quincy Market/Faneuil Hall, Haymarket/TD Garden, waterfront/Aquarium, North End, Copley Square, BU/Fenway, Science Center/MGM/Lechmere, Beacon Hill, Back Bay/Newbury are all tourist friendly.

Pick a hotel that is a direct green line stop between one of those and Fenway. You can also stay in Cambridge or anywhere else and transfer to the Green line from any of the other lines. You can also stay near a T hub like Government Center where multiple lines cross.

You might also want to locate around food. Pick a restaurant or two that you might want to eat and stay near there. Getting to Fenway for a game is too easy to anchor there unless that's where you want to be.

I'll usually stay at the Omni Parker or the W Boston in Copley. Antico Forno and Citrus and Salt are two restaurants. for North End Italian and CS for Copley brunch or Latin fusion.

I'm assuming you are going to a weekend afternoon game and you will have time to go to dinner/drinks after the game. Pick a hotel/location that is close to the restaurants/bars you want to enjoy after the game. If you can walk, Back Bay is less than mile from Fenway Park or you can take the Green Line to Kenmore and there are plenty of options/price points in the Back Bay. If you want to stay in a nice hotel close to Fenway, there is a Residence Inn close by.

If it's nice, take a walk along the Charles near the Esplanade. With a nice breeze, it's pretty great. And public art! The bust of Arthur Fiedler is amazing, imo.
