Hotel Recommendations?

If you are looking to book for the Regionals, lots of decent hotels within walking distance of the TImes Union Center: Hampton, Holiday Inn Express, Fairfield, Hilton & Renaissance. I can also recommend Lombardo’s Restaurant, maybe the best Italian restaurant in Albany, and a local favorite of a short Italian coach you may have heard of.

Question on Hotels-- I will be traveling back to Connecticut, perhaps for the Conference Tournament. Mohegan Sun rates are ridiculous. Is there anything close that I can Uber it. Also does anyone know if there are daily buses from NYC to Mohegan Sun. I figure I can take the bus to MS, Uber it to a hotel, then Uber it back to MS for the games. Thanks.

Consider staying in New London, CT, about 10 miles away from the MS. There are daily buses from everywhere to the MS, including NYC. But to be honest, you might want to consider the train. Amtrak will take you to New London and then you catch the Casino Shuttle to MS, or you can take Metro North to New Haven and take the Casino Shuttle from there to the MS.

Thank you for your help.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn near the arena, which was fine. In my research, I ran across a Courtyard by Marriott near the Medical Center that seemed cost-effective. I think the Renaissance is very nice, but pricey (about $250 or so).

In Albany try the Towne Place and Suites in the Albany Medical area about a mile fromTimes Union. You could walk down but the walk back up a mile long hill is a killer. Parking is relatively inexpensive

There is a hotel just off of 395 in Norwich it use to be a Ramada (I think) pretty close to exit for Mohegan Sun. If I think of the name I will post it; if any knows the name please post it.

According to Trip Advisor the RT 32 Hyatt in Uncasville is $109 +tax for a standard room. There is also a Fairfield Inn and a Microtel nearby that are a bit cheaper. Depending on your stay dates room rates in the Mohegan Sun Earth Tower can be very reasonable. Rates vary from $129 to $299 a night depending on the day of the week. We've stayed there several times but only midweek. There is also a new Hampton Inn just off I395 in Norwich. We had friends stay there a couple of weeks ago and they were pleased with the accommodations. AAA/AARP rates were about $110. All are probably less than 10 minutes from the Casino.

I don't know about Uber availability in the area but parking at the Casino is easily accessed, plentiful and free.

Same exit different hotel. I'm not sure what the old Ramada is these days.
