The tournament bastion of mediocrity is at it again trailing Wichita State.

We should wait to post these things. Lots of time left, and it's bad for the mojo.

Well I did pick them to win this game. Which I guess for them is going far

That funny- but I have a feeling they are going to stink up the place.. Would be lovely for both them and Quse to bail out early.

Love those Shockers! Now if they can just win the next game.

I was going to post something with around 10 minutes left, but then thought there might be too much time left. Got distracted by something else and didn't tune back until now.

Holy crap, Pitt is terrible in the tournament. Are their fans even surprised by this stuff anymore?

I picked them to lose the first round and they never disappoint. Pitt choked again as usual. Good job Pitt! You never let us down.

With about 2:20 left in the game, my wife, a Pitt grad/Katz MBA, with whom I've sparred frequently during UConn/Pitt BET finals, changed the channel and proclaimed she's tired of caring about Pitt.

2002 - #3 seed, upset in Sweet 16 by #10 Kent State
2003 - #2 seed, upset in Sweet 16 by #3 Marquette
2004 - #3 seed, lost in Sweet 16 to #2 Oklahoma St.
2005 - #9 seed, lost in 1st round to #8 Pacific
2006 - #5 seed, upset in 2nd round by #13 Bradley
2007 - #3 seed, lost in Sweet 16 to #2 UCLA
2008 - #4 seed, upset in 2nd round by #5 Michigan St.
2009 - #1 seed, upset in Elite 8 by #3 Villanova
2010 - #3 seed, upset in 2nd round by #6 Xavier
2011 - #1 seed, upset in 2nd round by #8 Butler
2013 - #8 seed, upset in 1st round by #9 Wichita St.

After the 2011 tournament I swore I would never again pick Pittsburgh to win more than one game. Luckily, I stuck with that rule this year.

You have to give them credit. It's not easy to be a #3 seed or higher 7 times and only get as far as the regional final once.

It takes a unique level of postseason incompetence to pull that off.

It's even more amazing when you add the flameouts of those talented mid to late 80's teams with Charles Smith, Jerome Lane, Freakazoid Gore, etc. Every blind squirrel finds a nut except, apparently, Pitt.
