Very little movement in 2020 besides adding the top 100, but one of the few movements was Aaliyah Edwards fell to #22. Finally, Cochran rose and is now #21.
--
And a CT girl made it! 6-0 G Shamarla King from the Watkinson School!

These two changes from 2020 jumped out at me. Marshall now down to 35. Wasn't she former top 10 in this class at one point? Madelyn Westbeld also made a big jump formerly in the 50s now ahead of Marshall at 31.

Marshall and Westbeld's changes were from the last update. If not top 10, definitely top-15 for Marshall. I wonder if she will have a similar trajectory to Watson, who has made her way back up to the top-20.

Anyone know more about Hopkins HS? It's a public school but it seems they regularly send their players to Division 1 schools.

2013: Nia Coffey – Northwestern (Ranked #24 by PN and ESPN)
2015: T'Aire "TeeTee" Starks – Iowa State [finished at Arizona] (Ranked #40 by PN, Unranked by ESPN)
2016: Nia Hollie – Michigan State (Ranked #28 by PN, #71 by ESPN)
2020: Paige Bueckers – Committed to UConn (Ranked #1 by PN and ESPN)
2022: Maya Nnaji – Uncommitted (PN does not have 2022 Rankings yet, Ranked #9 by ESPN).

Are there other public schools that have this kind of ~regular D1 players come through their system?

Duncanville in Texas - at least until their coach resigned due to accusations of recruiting violations

It is interesting seeing the differences between PN and ESPN.

PN has Gabby Hutcherson at #11 and ESPN doesn't have her ranked.
ESPN has Diamond Johnson at #6 (What was she before? I don't remember her name being this high) and PN doesn't have her ranked.

Oh Right, of course. That's a massive school (as big as four Wal-Mart Supercenters combined. [according to Wiki ;)]) in a hotbed of talent.

Chris Hansen and Brandon Clay over at prospect will not rank a play unless they have seen her play.
Diamond Johnson is a strange case for Chris though. Johnson plays a Neumann-Goretti in Philly and was Gatorade Pennsylvania Girls Basketball Player of the Year last season. I'm almost positive that Chris was in the Gym at a show case tournament in which NG played last fall.

After watching Marshall play twice in the Federation Cup, her drop in the rankings does not surprise me. She has a lot of potential, but her effort and production made her the 3rd or 4th best player on CTK imo.

Manasquan H.S. in the New Jersey Shore Conference has done very well the last decade playing at the Division II level. It has a total enrollment of some 960 students. Of course, they've relied heavily on one family to supply 3 of these players. :D

- Michaela Mabrey: Notre Dame
- Katelynn Flaherty: Michigan (Flaherty also played at other public high schools, but her main claim to fame is at Manasquan.)
- Marina Mabrey: Notre Dame
- Stella Clark: Northeastern
- Dara Mabrey: Virginia Tech
- Faith Masonius: Maryland
- Lola Mullaney: Harvard

Thank you for doing all that work. All the schools, outside of Iowa City H.S. I was aware of having many top players come through their system but completely blanked when I was examining the Hopkins concept.

Whitney Young is a tank, how did I forget them.

I forgot about one of my local high school, Columbus Africentric Early College. Africentric also operates with a Lottery System for enrollment, I believe. Total Enrollment now is 348.

62 – Alesia Howard – 2008 – UMass
NR – Tyeasha Moss – 2008 – Xavier
35 – Raven Ferguson – 2011 – Ohio State
82 – Alexa Hart – 2014 – Ohio State
2 – Jordan Horston – 2019 – Tennessee
50 – Alexia Smith – 2020 – None
53 – Sakima Walker – 2020 – None

It hasn't made its national name just yet, but in a couple years there'll be a lot of talk about DeSoto HS in Texas. Likely to be the new Duncanville, so to speak (in fact it's just south of Duncanville).

They were state 6A runners-up with a roster of 1 senior, 1 junior, 4 sophomores and 7 freshmen.

The lone senior, Bria Patterson, is headed to Houston.
Plus a whole slew of D-I recruits—reportedly at least 7—among all those sophomores and freshmen.

Great timing. Raoul just reported that DeSoto's 6'4" Tionna Herron (class of 2022) was just offered by Louisville.

Just sifting through Twitter, she reportedly already has offers from Arizona, Georgia Tech, Texas Tech, SMU and North Texas, if not others.
