I think it is valuable to recruit guards/wings that played PG at their highschool even if you never plan for them to be your "official" PG in a motion offense.
The motion offense depends not only on movement but the ability to pass the ball to get the best shot.
That's why it is really valuable to have former PGs on the floor in a motion offense. Even Caroline was essentially the PG on her highschool team.
