Hoopgurlz' First Ranking of 2017 Players

Dan Olsen has made a top-25 list for 2017 from what had been an unranked group of players.

Megan Walker gets the #1 spot here too.

Kasiyahna Kushkituah comes in at #5 just as she did for the latest PN ranking.

Jade Williams, who UConn has had some contact with, is #8.

On a sidenote, Madison Treece is #19. She had played with her sister McKenna and Napheesa Collier at Incarnate Word Academy. Now it seems she has transferred to rival Rock Bridge meaning Collier loses her four most talented teammates from last year.

BTW, Megan Walker received more praise from Blue Star after the recent John Lucas 40/40 camp:


When attempting to describe Megan Walker in just threee words -- She Got Game. Defensively the 6-1 Walker tenaciously attacked the passing lanes with reckless abandon and defended the perimeter, consistently hounding her opposition into turnovers with steal after steal. Offensively Walker aka “Jesus Shuttlesworth” was raining threes from heaven. She shot the three extremely well, whether spotting up or off the dribble, and did an excellent job on using the dribble drive dish to spotting up teammates. Walker also penetrated and finished in traffic. Walker, from Chesterfield, VA is an excellent athlete that flat out gets it down and should be considered a clear favorite to occupy the top spot in Class of 2017.
