UConn only had 18 balls put in play, 8 of them for hits, and had 17 K’s. They’re a solid team, played really well defensively, but just didn’t have the firepower. In addition to the 2 HR’s they had, Florida also had quite a few shots to the warning track into a pretty good breeze blowing in from dead center most of the game. I’m betting that 2-3 would have been out if not for the wind. Not sure who UConn has coming in next year, but they lose maybe their three best hitters.
