She's clearly not a quality coach but I do think she has to be given some credit for recruiting, even though yes the Tennessee name and history mean a lot.
Programs and teams can surely get carried away when they have enormous success and then have expectations to replace a Pat, Geno, MM or Tara. It's bordering on impossible for any replacement to reach that level of success. But there hopefully should continue to be high expectations and strong development and preparation of recruits to both excel and for some to reach the next level.
In this case, I think they've overdone the loyalty thing and the respect for Pat issue can cut two ways. I'm sure she'd have wanted Holly to be given every opportunity to excel and run a continuing strong program. What exists now would drive Pat nuts, so to me at least, continuing to slide backwards is actually disrespectful to her memory.
