Good start so far, couldnt cash in on early PP

We pretty much look the part early on. I don't doubt that we're missing the high-level skills, but we're getting decent possessions and not getting out of position.

Great job on the PP. A couple of good opportunities for MC but we held up.

.-.
Nice - another PP opportunity for us.

Great first period. Not sure we can ask for anything more than that.

They looked good in the first period. When they play within the system that Cav has installed things flow well. There were some spots where you could see the inexperience come out a bit as the system broke down...but they were able to get right back at it. Definitely a different team than what I saw last year in Milford against SHU, they are fun to watch!

MC is playing with more intensity in the 2nd. We are looking a little sloppy.

.-.
Shots were 10-1 MC last they mentioned it...Nicholls is playing VERY well

I like what I've seen of Nicholls. Stays in position, doesn't get cute with the puck and seems to have a nice feel for the surrounding traffic.

HUGE hit on the boards. We just crushed.

The 3rd looks like a continuation of the second...just need to hold it together and cut down on the turnovers

and that is the exact reason I put almost an entire roll of tape on the but end of my goalie sticks!!!

.-.
Crap.

the goal was bad...but seemed inevitable...but Richardson taking that tripping penalty was bad. He has had a rough game tonight, with a couple of bad penalties

Oh well. They dominated for 2+ periods. Great effort by our guys, hope we can keep them all that competitive.

A lot to ask for much when they get outshot like this (which they will, often). Nichols played really well. Great effort & energy.

Really enjoyed watching the game tonight. I couldn't be happier that this team is in HE and the acquitted themselves fine for 59:27 of the game.

The team looked a half step slower for the last 4 minutes. They couldn't get the puck out of their own end for any more than a few seconds. I thought they dodged a major bullet when they were caught in a change.

If UConn can be competitive like this in the balance of HE games, they will be fine. Cav looks like he has the team heading in the right direction.

Agreed, they started to get worn down in the game and it showed in the speed at the end, no shame in the way they played, they played tough and if they could have mustered one more clearing of the zone they would have pulled it out.

My five year old was heart broken at the end, I tried to explain to him but he only understands W-L's at this point.
