So, today is supposed to be some great day for watching sports and the sporting gods have blessed my area of the country with a historic rainfall.
From the weather channel:
"Pensacola International Airport recorded 11.87 inches of rain Saturday as of 2:57 p.m. local time, the second-highest daily total on record for Pensacola. The last time Pensacola officially received more rain in a single calendar day was October 5, 1934, with 15.29 inches. Nearby Pensacola Naval Air Station recorded 12.45 inches of rain between midnight and 3 p.m. Saturday. Radar estimates indicated up to 20 inches of rainfall over the Perdido Key area."
And then the grinch of Saturday comes up and takes all the fun out of the Belmont, I have zero interest in paying to watch 150lb guys box and I turned on the French Open women's final this morning just in time to watch Sharapova drop to her knees on clay(not in the way I dream of either).
Basically, Heat/Celtics game 7 better live up to the hype because today has been a dud.
