The way Geno’s players love him is special.

There was a video of the team sprinkling water on Geno after a win last season, and then KK goes to ask him (interview style) how he felt at the surprise act; Geno says in his typical sarcastic fashion that it felt a bit like waterboarding, then he adds, "kinda like you dribbling through the press!".

Good to see her taking it all in her stride and embracing it.

She's going to be a star on TV when her playing career is done.

Geno recruited her knowing this is who she is. He must have been looking for the next "hype" player to take over from Nika and Paige. Her tone is different from theirs, and it will be one source of the energy and camaraderie of the team. And she came knowing she would get all his love and sarcasm.

My favorite line of his about KK from last season was on hearing she told reporters that being yelled at by Geno was an honor: "Well, she's going to be honored a lot this season."

Well now he's got KK too.

Besides being a risng star of a basketball player, she is simply an infectious delight, and so glad she is on our team.

That's never a problem because there is press access even during the summer session when the team is out at various events, plus whatever pops up on social media from the program itself.

I always looked forward to any class I taught that had a student like her. She'd make a great teacher.

What a bundle of energy!!! Her energy is infectious. She gets the UConn program. The relationships built are one of the strong points of the program.
