You don't have to be down 17-0, before you decide that you don't have to run it every first and second down. And I know you're old, but have you ever heard of the QB taking the snap out of the shotgun in a non wild cat situation.

Do us all a favor and retire.

I think he has more confidence in the QB now. WRs are a different story. I think Deleone is trying to balance out the O the best he can. I am not a fan of his calls, but he is doing it so we win.

I don't doubt he's trying to win, but his approach is outdated. If you recruit RBs like Alabama where you have three kids who could go for 100 yds in one game fine. We haven't had one go for 100 yds yet this year. Whatever. I am just frustrated beyond belief. Unfucking real

He's run, run, pass.........then when they got the ball back after the punt at 24-7 with over 8 minutes left he was pass, pass, pass......drop back same spot and throw over the middle.......even the ESPN3 announcers were wondering when the "vanilla" was going to end and they were going to at least throw a screen or something......no doubt the QB needs to read the heavy pass rush and try to role out of the traffic instead of winding up to make that throw but still, it was time to throw in a planned role out, a screen knowing they were pinning their ears back...anything!

He's God awful...........

I hate to be the contrarian, fellas, but the problem in my opinion has never been the play-calling. The problem has been this ridiculous insistance on that f%$king wildcat play!! You can see how it disrupts everything, including our starting quarterback. When the MAC announcer goes out of his mind about us using the play after seeing it for 10 minutes, we should have thrown that play away after week 1.

Once you allow Whitmer and the OLine to get a rhythym under normal circumstances, you see that they can produce! Just leave that f#$king wildcat play on the wall with the rest of that friggin' wallpaper...

That wallpaper has the same 10 plays with 100 different formations

The problem I have is that one entire wall is covered with "Wildcat left, Wildcat right, Wildcat center....Wildcat left, Wildcat right, Wildcat center..."

Being down 17-0, forced them to go away from the run, run, pass approach. You saw Whitmer throw for over three hundred yds and three scores. He and the WRs have ability.

Maybe they just don't trust the OL enough, but those guys weren't terrible today pass blocking.

Well, let's not forget that McCombs ran for over 100 yards (I have to look up the stats) and our receivers dropped at least 40 yards worth of absolutely catchable balls. But the bottom line is rhythym, rhythym, rhythym. And the wildcat takes us completely out of our rhythym...

So we win? We are currently .500 ... Last year we were sub .500 ... So we win

One of the reasons the hurry up is being used so much by most teams is it creates rhythm. I'm so glad we went away from the quasi hurry up Moorhead was working on. (sarcasm off) I think Whitmer would have fit nicely in his system.

Don't know if moving Foley messed up the OL or they are lacking talent. But if Whitmer can get time he'll be good.

I don't think the players have bought DeLeone's system. In fact...nevermind.
