Once we stopped putting her outside the arc and started running plays for her, she has been amazing. The 3 is not for her most times
Except against ND, then she hits them at will.

Liked Riley too.

After she graduated:)
NEVER liked Riley. Oh, I am sure she is a very nice woman, but she got away with everything! Haven't like anyone since either, but didn't like her either.

Diggins did not have good body language during the halftime interivew, even with the shot at the buzzer. Keep an eye on her in the second half. She could faulter if she gets out to a slow start.

I think ND looks really really tired. Hopefully we can just keep running them to death.

Diggins does not respond well if things aren't going her way. Her teammates don't seem to try to pump her up, either. I love UConn's team dynamic, it is so rare to see.

Kara Wolters just said ND leads 19-14 on the boards - I hope the 16-14 in the halftime box above is right.

That thread the needle bounce pass by Dolson got me out of my chair--she's really showing her stuff!

55% vs 42% shooting
including 2-5 vs 2-7 from 3

but rebounding hurting:
@ND's basket, we only have 10-7 edge
@CT's basket, they have a 9-4 edge

I wonder if that's wishful thinking. Remember that these are two really good, conditioned teams.

The biggest "OY" stat is that both our bigs have two fouls. I am worried that the altitude will give Stef problems in the second half and lead to dumb fouls.

Tiff playing an all around game, but the wide open 3 point miss in transition and the missed layup hurt. The 3 point shot would have been a 9 point lead, and IMHO ND would called a Time Out. It could have been a dagger.

I dunno, there was that stretch where she took over hitting 2 straight shots, giving her team a big lift.

Anyone think Geno will consider putting Heather in? (Obviously offense is an issue - but she cold use up some fouls for their guys and grab a lot of rebounds).

Last time we were only up 1.

but what kind of shooting % did we have in the 1st half of that game? Not sure we had the same level of efficiency. Point being that at 55% to 42% FG, we should be leading by 6-8 pts at least.

Often, the in-game ESPN box score only includes rebounds attributed to a person and not "team" rebounds, so Kara could be right.

According to the box score, Notre Dame only played 6 players. Hope that hurts them in the second half.

The altitude seems to be a factor to me. If you look at the last few games between these 2 teams this one almost seems to be happening in slow motion by comparison.
Something just seems "off" to me. Glad we're ahead.

I think if Kiah picks up her 3rd any time soon, it's possible we could see HB sub in for a few minutes when Stef needs a blow, and we go zone

Yep. My mom just came in the room and said they looked like they were playing underwater.
