The marching band is currently raising funds to enhance their rehearsal facility on campus. The project includes a new observation tower for directors, staff and visitors. The UCMB is competing in the UConn Foundation's "Ignite" crowdfunding competition and they have a chance to win up to $20,000 in additional funding based on the number of donors they reach. Pregame is fine. It's like every other major university pre-game it's about spirited fight songs and tradition. It's about emotion. Uptempo is for halftime.
The main difference between our pregame and many other schools is the dearth of people in the stands to soak up the spirit. They're more interested in soaking up the suds.
