I agree (to both your posts). It was an ugly win, but I would rather be here talking about an ugly win than talking about an ugly loss. Not all wins will be pretty, but this was about as rough as it can get and still pull it out.

It was nice to see DD and OC step up a bit, but we need to have them consistently hit that free throw jumper against the zone. When they get it there, they look frazzled and in a huge hurry to make a move.

That win was about heart. Loved it such grit even getting out rebounded by more than double fought throughout
People can look at the same event and come to different conclusions obviously; I tend to think there is a direct correlation between the level of heart one plays with, and rebounding stats.

I think they toughened up at the end and deserve credit for a BE road win against a team that ALWAYS gives us trouble, but those rebound numbers after 45 minutes of playing reflect the level of intensity this team played with.

Even when we were up 25-10 I had the feeling providence was going to win. they were just killing us on the glass and their defense was very active. when they did come back all the way by halftime I was sure we would lose by 15. I was pleasantly surprised how we took some punches and kept plugging away. It also helps that it was providence and every time they could possibly run from us they shot themselves in foot.

So I would say the victory is 75 percent husky heart and 25 percent providence showing their skirt.

Oh wait, I just heard another whistle, Antric Klaiber just fouled out. Lousy refs.
