I believe this is because he came after KEA.. Khaleed is one of the most beloved players in UConn history. Never fun being a successor to an icon, just ask KO.

But by Taliek’s junior year, all was right.

I loved his game. He had almost 20 assists one night if I recall. 17/18 maybe? And he was on the best team that we ever had that didn’t win it all.

Taliek was very often brutalized here for 2+ years.

As his Sr. year arrived and a supporting cast came together, he more than did the job.

If you are PG on a national championship team with the trust of Coach JC....you are part of the history.
