I would think that if two teams in a given game will never play Uconn again this season, I'd root for the team playing against Tennessee. However, there's always a chance of meeting in the tourney. In this case, Uconn-South Carolina would be on a neutral court (presumably in Indy), so that adds points to the 12-point MOV Uconn has already enjoyed. Meanwhile, I don't see Tennessee matching up well with the Huskies at all, so the hypothetical games against either team is equally advantageous for Uconn.
Everything else being equal, I root against Tennessee. And circumstantially speaking, I think most circumstances are equal here. We'll see South Carolina exploit its depth and size advantage and take this game. So with circumstances being equal, I pull for USC, and with there being natural advantages in South Carolina 's favor...I still pull for the Gamecocks.
