It should. It cost more than $1B about 15 years ago (probably closer to $1.5B in today’s $$).This is a really nice arena. Makes the PBA look like a dump.
Some folks might think that UConn's program is too rigid, no allowance for players' individuality, however I'll be a homer for life with how Geno and CD have molded this program.Sitting here at Barclay's, I can't tell you how moved I am seeing UCONN'S pregame warm-up. They came out about 23 minutes before tipoff, and it was magical observing how everything they did for the next 10 minutes was carefully constructed and choreographed to replicate situational team movement and passing leading to optimal shots in rhythm. Just a thing of beauty, because you can readily see how that type of philosophy is successfully applied into the team's perennial success.
Exquisite!
Cause it is a dump. I just kept looking at the scoreboard in awe. Looks like you're allowed to put the player number and name on the scoreboard. What a concept.This is a really nice arena. Makes the PBA look like a dump.
Louisville looked much improved since they played UConn. Something is going very wrong with Tennessee. Were they looking ahead to the matchup with Southern Indiana. Kidding.Ok, impressions/thoughts/observations;
Agree with Basingstoke, the way UConn comes out to practice before game is impressive. Very orchestrated and sharply focused. While Iowa was simply shooting around somewhat randomly, UConn was running complicated drills involving multiple players before a shot went up.
The games were fun, Louisville is well coached and Tennessee is kind of chaotic,( I’m being kind).
UConn easily a better team than Iowa, but Iowa is solid and well coached. Stuelke did well, and our favorite Iowa player is definitely Chit-Chat.
We had a great time at the arena, the staff quite outgoing and friendly and helpful.
Didn’t know there were going to be Geno bobbleheads given out.
Aside from taking the wrong train for one stop and then returning to the station to catch the correct train, it was an easy trip.
Their press is much less effective than last year and they had a very difficult time breaking Louisville's press. Their bigs are big but don't have strong inside-outside skill sets that I saw.Louisville looked much improved since they played UConn. Something is going very wrong with Tennessee.
