Agree. And I really don't want to pile on, but I think we all know he was prone to interceptions before coming to Storrs. It's only been one game so far, and it seems like he's learned a lesson there at least with no picks on Friday. Now he needs to master his fear of contact and step into the pocket; not back or run out of it at the first sign of pressure.
I actually think he would reduce the severity of hits by stepping into the pocket more often. It just seems logical that there would be less room for defenders to build up momentum vs. when they've got a full head of steam getting to him when he's 10 yds behind the LOS or running around. Will he get hit more often by stepping up? Probably so. But again, I think those hits will be less severe overall and it won't wreck the timing of passing plays like forced scrambling does. But what do I know, siting here on my couch.
