I'm missing only three: Montana, Wyoming and Idaho. Alaska was one of my favorite trips, but I dont' think I could ever live there.

Missing WV, SD, ND, Montana, Oregon, Hawaii, Iowa and Nebraska. Not sure about Indiana.

That puts me somewhere in the 40's.

What is the definition of the term "been to?" Does you have to spend quality time or just merely a drive through/air travel layover?

My brother and I have discussed this and always counted it as, "you have to have taken a dump there for it to count." But, I think we have been applying that just to airport layovers...I think driving through a state has got to count!

Anyway...I'm a lot younger than all of you guys, or just not as much of a traveler? I've only been to 23, I think. Missing Florida, WV, WI, MI east of the Mississippi, and all but MO and LA west of it.

38 out of 50. Thought I had more, but that Idaho, SD, ND, WY region is a killer.

Missing: AZ, NM, MT, ID, WY, OR, SD, ND, NE, IA, WV, KY, AK, MI, AL, LA, AR, KS

Spent a night every where else.

Using the overnight guideline (and I assume I've taken a dump unless I was really backed up) I've been to 42. Those that I have not spent any real time in: OK, NE, IA, KY, TN, MS, ME (surprised by this one), ND. I expect that I'll get to ME and TN sometime within the next couple years. The others may never happen.
