I sure hope we can get a large crowd for this game. It is our biggest game in years. There might not ever be another 10-0 team playing at the Rent (except for UConn of course).

Anyone debating basketball vs football game here is crazy. There are so many more opportunities to see the basketball team, and its not even against a decent team. No debate in my mind.

I can't wait, and I don't expect to have my voice back until Thanksgiving morning!!

If things break right, we may also have seen the first Heisman winner of that current year play at the Rent as well. RG3 played here 2 years before he won it.

It may sound nuts but don't sleep on Keenan Reynolds for the Heisman. The race is wide open and a Navy QB will get a serious look.

The SEC announcer that does the weekly spot on with Mike Francessa stated that was his pick for the Heisman at the moment. If he gets them into the NY6 Bowl, he might go from dark horse to front runner.

Never has there been a team with a 10-0 record. I think the only team ranked higher than Houston would be #10 USF back in 2007, then this happened...

I think a West Verginia team was ranked #2 while at The Rent early in our Big East days.

1. Greg Robinson!!!! And not the stupid one that coached Syracuse.

2. What the student section used to look like at the end of a football game.

3. The hardest rain storm in the first half that I've ever sat through.
I think the Larry Taylor fake punt game against Louisville was worst. Deluge.

Yeah, student section was awesome all game. I remember the rain falling harder in the first half and the crowd cheering. That was a FUN atmosphere!

IIRC, the Louisville game it poured during the tailgate -- incredibly hard -- but the game itself was played in a light rain/mist. The USF game, the rain started after the opening kickoff and it deluged during the game. (I"ll tell you how wet the Louisville pregame was -- I came to the game directly from Bradley coming back from business trip, and my clothes were so wet after tailgating that I went into the SUV and took them off and changed into my prior days clothes for the game.)

Exactly how I remembered the weather for those 2 games. The rain also let up some for the USF second half.

I love how people who know absolutely nothing except for box scores think that Houston is going to come up to the Northeast in late November and put up 56 on UConn in what is being deemed the biggest game at The Rent in over 5 years.
Idiots.
UH may win.....but it is NOT going to be 56-7 and NOT by 21+ points. 2 weeks to rest (much needed) UConn's D will be ready. The O...well...that is different.

That rain storm pumped the crowd up, the more it rained, the louder we cheered, easily one of the 3 best games/crowd displays at the rent.
Watching the clip brought back some memories. The Rent used to be a savage place to play. Crowds were loud and proud. I hope we get that old feel back someday soon. It was special.

That night the student section was electric. I sat in 104 and they were nuts that night..and it was beautiful.
