They've played Stonehill, BU, Buffalo, UNC-Wilmington, Delaware State, Okie State, LIU, Georgetown, Nova, and Creighton at home so far. Let's see us beat all three of Xavier, Providence, and Marquette at home before we say UConn is great at home.
Exactly — If Creighton hit one 3 this could be a very different storyline.

There has been conversation for some time about Adama's inability or reluctance to pass the ball out. There has been a ton of standing around on the perimeter and Hawkins has been absolutely covered up. Even though playing two bigs may clog things up, the easiest guy on the team to pass to is Clingan. Even when he is covered, he's open.

We're so lucky to have a tandem as talented as these two, and like many here, I'd like to see them on the floor together, especially if Adama's future career is as a 4. However, I'm wondering if Sanogo is pressing a bit because of the terrific job, and accompanying accolades, that Clingan has done? At times it's seemed as if Sanogo is trying too hard to showcase his talents, when maybe all he really needs to do is relax a bit and let the game slow down for him. Anyone else feel this way?
Tes look at the free throw at the end of the game.

I’m sure Adama is doing whatever it takes to protect his minutes. That’s just human nature. Let’s give him some credit. His offensive game is better than ever. His footwork is excellent for a big man, his shot quality has improved, his passing is better and his 3-pt. shooting percentage is second on the team. Let that one sink in. My big problem with him is inconsistent defensive intensity. I don’t think that has anything to do with Clingan. He needs to play harder and smarter on the defensive end.

Adama is one of the captains on a very good BE team.. He and Clingan have the same colored jerseys on and are good teammates. Competition--whether from within the team or from opponents--only makes you better as an individual and as a teammate.

This year there happens to be a transformational sub--Clingan-- who is kicking butt in the minutes he's given in games. Part of his success is from the mentoring and practice sessions with Adama over the course of the summer and the season that have accelerated his growth.

Danny has to keep them working hard with their eyes on the prize and manage their minutes based on game situations/match ups. We are highly efficient and productive at the 5 spot.. As Danny has said.. Players dictate PT through their game performance ..Not him..

If Adama is "hearing the footsteps"..He's concentrating on the wrong things.. IMO.. He'll take care of business to the best of his abilities in the PT he gets.

No he’s not. The staff will force feed the ball to Sanogo at whatever the cost. Then everyone gets mad at Sanogo and not the coaching staff. Would be good to change up the offense or give Donovan 20
Minutes a game to help ease the pressure on Sanogo

Sanogo is gassed just like happened last year as season progressed.

IDK if Sanogo can even dunk right now. No explosion on offense and he can't grab rebounds that don't fall in to his lap.

And the coaching staff plays Clingan 12 minutes a game.

Change the way they play sanogo too

Adama was weak tonight around the basket. But Clingan was the one pressing. He would get a offensive rebound and just fling it into the middle, it did that a number of times tonight. He could have just held the ball up and wait for someone to get open. He was playing way too fast. He needs to slow down a little and show more poise.

Play them together and this problem no longer exists.
This is it. Sanogo is a role player. He can beat people 1 on 1 when he's 5-8 feet from the hoop but everywhere else he's a disaster. Teams just have to defend against letting him get the ball at that position or double when he does. Since we have nobody who can penetrate they can play team defense against sanogo and face guard Hawkins and never get in trouble.

As “Chief” indicates play both Adama and Donovan together and our chances of defending and scoring increase.
