Has change been beneficial for UConn? (Jim Fuller)

Comparing raw numbers is nice but he should also include in his numbers the fact that we've faced two top 25 ranked teams in the past four, zero FCS schools and zero MAC schools.

Nothing earth shattering but a perspective:

Breaking down the numbers from #UConn's four games under Paul Pasqualoni and last four under T.J. Weis. http://runwayramblings.blogspot.com/2013/11/has-change-been-beneficial-for-uconn.html

It's hard to argue with any of it. It's all true. And I think we could have anticipated all of it as well. Many believed that Foley's running game would be better. Many also believed that nobody would be able to change the pass-protect. Many believed that we would give up more passing yards to the likes of Kay, Bortles, and Bridgewater, than we did against the QB's from Buffalo or Towson. At the end of the day, as miserable as we are, it was the right move to let PPGDL go...

Extremely well said. There was some hope, that a change would provide an emotional surge renewed energy and they would have won a game by now. It didn't, but P had to go and delaying it in hopes of a win or two or keeping scores closer would have been pointless.

Last night it hurt to look around that stadium and see a home crowd that got deflated and began thinning out after our first turnover. A crowd that was thin to begin with. Removing P, was the first step, things generally get worse before they get better and we appear in the midst of that right now.

There have been two major changes that should be analyzed separately.

Change 1 is the coach.
Change 2 is the QB.

Change 1 has been successful, the running game has improved and most importantly every coach in the country knows UCONN is looking. P was a dead man walking and change was needed, seeing him (and Warde) booed without mercy would not have been good for anyone.

Change 2 has been a failure and should be corrected ASAP so we will at least have a chance in the last 4 games. If a move to Whitmer or Cochran (my preference) isn't announced Monday it will be time to question the sanity of our leadership.

The players who put their health on the line every week deserve the best chance to win and right now Boyle is not our best chance.
