A perfect pass by Tiff--underrated--and difficult athletic catch by Kelly--maybe even more underrated.

this is why Tiff has been Geno's in-bounder for the past few seasons. He said she's the best at it.

Something that may have gone unnoticed is that the clock was run perfectly, starting only on contact with Kelly.

Two more things to note. If there were 1 less second on the clock, Kelly touches the ball then leaps and nails a 3 instead of taking it to the basket. Second, 22 years ago Burrell threw an overhead football Hail Mary to Tate George, while Tiff's pass was a hip\lower chest lob that shows just how strong she is to get that distance. And yes I know the men's and women's basketballs are a slightly different size, but Tiff eats her spinach -- and has a great push-off from her back foot.

Peyton nor Eli could have done it better.

It should be pointed out that Tiff not only put it on the money, but also put a perfect arc on it so Kelly could see it and collect it with ease.
Many others would have thrown a frozen rope, much more difficult to catch and control.
Another senior moment for Tiff. Bet we'll see a lot of that replay over the years.

That was an amazingly athletic play - and so graceful!!! Great going players and Biff!!!:)

Like the commercial.... "It's Logistics" Geno Auriemma

Hey Biff ... how do you do that? I'm trying to get my 20 seconds of fame from the PV game in Bridgeport. Do you use special software? Any hints/tips appreciated!! thanks :)

There are a lot of parts to this simple looking play - besides the perfect pass (arcing to Kelly's fingertips on the dead run), if you watch it from the foul shot, the first thing that Kelly (and Kia) do from the low blocks is to respect the rebound by boxing out - and they do a perfect job.

Then Kelly drifts up to the foul line, makes contact as if she's going to be a screen before launching up court.

It's also not a simple layup - in my HS days I always thought that a layup over the front rim was the hardest - notice that as Kelly goes up her arm is coming back, taking speed and energy off the ball so that it drops in instead of bouncing back out as is so often the case.

There really is a lot to this play.

Great observations, Andy!

Do you remember when in the coverage that was? I remember seeing you but I don't remember when in the coverage it was.

A thing of beauty is a joy forever. We will be revisiting this for years to come.

It sure does look like Tiff called that play in the huddle right before the first foul shot. Can't see it in Biff's clip, but I just replayed that piece of the game on ESPN3.

You too can be on you tube
