Hartford second rated market for EPL viewership 2015-16

It's pretty well known among soccer enthusiasts that New England, the Pacific Northwest, California, and North Carolina like the sport. The problem is trying to spread it into the Great Plains, the Midwest, the South, and Rocky Mountain regions.

Pretty cool that Celtic (Scotland) is thinking about placing a club in Hartford, and that Hartford was the PL's second best market in the US.

*MLS team

NASL is the best and most realistic option. It doesn't require a soccer specific stadium (SSS). There are much bigger and better markets that have active MLS bids that won't be successful.

USL has an SSS requirement but that is loosely defined within that league.

The latest NASL bids have been really strong. San Fran has a really strong ownership group.

The ASL is something to keep an eye on. Connecticut United FC in New Britain kind snuck up on things. An ASL team in Hartford be perfect for that league.
