Not UCONN level talent IMO
I don't know. I would not mind at all if UConn gave Khalil a offer. He is serious about basketball. Works hard.
agree. were going to have a full 13 ships for the first time in years. i think many here have forgot what thats like. 3 kids most lilely wont see the floor much at all. remember those days? kids transfer out or they stay and enjoy the ride. dbev/chuck types are great for programs. i feel like dukes could be a good college pg so its his choice to play elsewhere and try to earn a lot of pt which he should do, but at the same time i would like to offer him and get him to uconn. i could see him taking 2 years of gym time( practice/weights) to develope and then turn into a quality 4 year player and who knows if maybe he turns out to be great by then or not. but hes the type of kid that grinds and works hard and is about it, thats the type of guy we need here for 4 years.
the pother side of it is we need to load up in this class because we have a couple ships to fill but we need impact players asap to get back to the top level on paper. with this being what it is i can see why right now is not the time for us to be looking at a dukes type of player.
http://kahlildukes.tumblr.com/ His latest entry on his tumblr deserves a read. He isn't the average basketball player. I wish he could be on this UConn team.
Kid just dropped 48 and 42 points in his last two AAU games. He has been waiting for more big offers but USC is the only one who offered. I don't get the idea of how he is a fringe guy, trust me he is a bigtime player and highly underrated.
Fringe guys typically end up transferring at UConn. I've been a huge fan of Kahlil Dukes on this board for years, but we can't afford too many more transfers.
Well the Boat Show has indicated this is his last season. I don't think Napier is too far behind. Sorry. I'm just saying ...
He would have to play the waiting game till next Spring to see what our Guards would do so why not commit and have that security
