"The same was said of UConn...." I was waiting for that and wondered why it took so long! /quote]
Nonetheless UCONN had terrible facilities and far more negatives than Hartford today, as well as, more assets. Currently, Jen is not recruiting to her level let alone gaining experience transferable to the next level.

My first choice is Walz.
So your first choice is someone that would never take the UConn job? I understand the argument for an outside successor to Geno, but someone in the position that Walz isn't going to leave for UConn. Same would go f0r Sherri Coale and a number of other established coaches.

As for Rizzotti the negativity in this thread doesn't seem to be justified. She's the best candidate for the job as it stands now in many ways close to the ideal candidate for everything that the UConn job specifically involves. Saying Rizzotti needs to show success at a BCS school, while promoting an assistant that has never been a head coach on any level as good candidate doesn't make much sense to me particularly for a job like UConn. And the recruiting is a non-issue to me. Whatever Rizzotti does in terms of recruiting at Hartford has no relation to recruiting at UConn. It is apples to oranges. And even if it is an issue then it can get fixed by who the assistants are unless people really think Joanne P. McCallie is the reason top recruits keep choosing Duke. Maybe a better candidate will emerge, but to this point another hasn't either outside or inside the program than Rizzotti.

Sorry, Scotter, I, usually, agree with you on almost everything but not this.
