They are on NESN tomorrow, against Quinnipiac. . . .
No, its the women. Just checked the Hartford web-siteI believe that's a men's game.
Which is a good thing. When I search DirecTV, I put in "Women's College Basketball" and out comes the list. I think only once it was actually a men's game; a few times on supposed replays it wasn't at all, and a couple times when an earlier contest ran late they "skipped it" (think they would just skip a men's game?). But on the whole, excellent. I check every Monday for the weekdays and every Thursday for the weekend's slate.Ed probably gets his facts from the fact that folks in the media think a men's game doesn't need the descriptor and a women's game does.

exactly why I think she won't get the job and shea will when geno retires. shea is on the recruiting trail getting the best players in the country.Jen has yet to prove she can recruit significant talent. That is a major blockage to her following Geno.

So the Huskies hire a mid major coach after geno leaves with no track record against top teams who has limited recruiting success. It is a catch 22, because the U of Hartford just will not draw that talent no matter how good a coach or a "seller/closer" Jen is.

Or they hire a coach that has been recruiting the top talent in the nation and coaching against the best teams in the country on a national stage. You know, kind of like the men's team hiring kevin ollie.
Which one do you think they pick?
I agree... she's not even getting middle of the pack guys. local talent isnt even going to UHartJen has yet to prove she can recruit significant talent. That is a major blockage to her following Geno.

The same was said of UCONN when Geno arrived. I do not expect her to compete for top 10 talent or even top 25 but I do believe she can recruit significantly better talent to Hartford and isn't achieving that even regionally. It is a catch 22, because the U of Hartford just will not draw that talent no matter how good a coach or a "seller/closer" Jen is.

She is an awesome person but I do not think she is the future at UCONN until she has broader experience with big time recruits. She has stayed at UH largely for her great family values and I appreciate that but it has limited her development.
