This comment otherwise offers no opinion on the XL Center vs.Gampel, though a student-packed on-campus arena does align more with my overall values. And, I'm not even criticizing Rothstein, because I did get to see a 35mm print of "Goodfellas" at Yale's Whitney Humanities Center in Fall 2019, and it was truly great.
