BC outscored Stanford in the second half. Wow.

Stanford ended up winning, 83-71, but still.
 
We'll know more about where we stand Monday night, but my we look crisp out there today. So many weapons...but only so many minutes and only 5 can play at a time! I have to say that if what we're seeing in terms of how much control the refs want to exert on the game is truly the new norm, it will accrue to our benefit more than the opposition over the course of the season. How can a team with so many weapons be stopped without a lot of physicality? And, in that vein, Kiah already looks like a better player out there, enabling Geno to sit Stef a bit when fouls begin to mount. Yes, it's just UH, but this season looks like a lot of fun for us!

What a great half for Uconn - and the fouls weren't to bad - Banks with three was playing a little out of control. The amazing thing with MoJeff is that she can stop on a dime on defense - she closes at lightening speed and you thing she will wipe the player out and she just stops. I think they half to look at '50/50 balls - the only two fouls that bothered me were Bria and MoJeff who ended up shoulder to shoulder with the offensive player but were first to get their hands on the ball - MoJeff actually caught and passed the ball, but they were both called for the foul.
Stef - putting her marker down going 2 for 2 from three - KML and Stewie are such slackers! :eek:
 
This is a very good season start game. Jen has U Hartford playing well spaced, sound defense, forcing our offense to work, though their lack of height gives a sorta easy ride inside. Ms. Stokes has comported herself well. Stef's 3bility will really come in handy. Pleased to see Mo staying hungry for the blow by lay up. On one of her steals beyond the 3 point line it took Stewie two dribbles to get to the hoop and score... now that is long!
 
Mosqueda-Lewis and Jefferson with back to back threes. Jefferson with 13 points at the 17:46 mark in the 2nd half.

Really agree about Kiah - didn't take a shot but looked good on offense making the right screens and being in the right places.
 
Very friendly rims. Almost everything that hits them falls in.
 
Can't wait until the all access show. Love what Geno said "don't tell me how good you wanna be....show me."
