OT: Hartford Athletics Possible Drop to D3

Have you seen the membership of the NEWMAC? MIT, Babson, Coast Guard, etc.

Great schools but they won't provide UHart with more visibilty. D1 sports keep the school in front of far more people.

This is the unseen part of low D1 or DII or DIII while you don’t award “athletic scholarships” you’re still giving a full ride or at least close to it to most nonobscure athletes in some fashion.
For most sports the NCAA allows basically a certain number of scholarships but allows the school to give partial rides to multiple players. I believe that only D1 basketball and FBS football are required to give full scholarships without the ability to break them up into partials..

Y’all are the story today about the UHa President? Apparently on his resume he claims to have been a D1 soccer player. Problem is he wasn’t. He may want to update that resume now

This dude would be lucky to get a job as a paraprofessional if he wants to stay in education

I've been really impressed with how John Gallagher has retained and added talent in spite of the looming D3 demotion.

Out of Hartford's eight 20-21 rotations players (who did not graduate this year) six are sticking around for the 21-22 season.

In addition to this retention, John Gallagher added three transfers.

Dude needs to retire. If he played at Villanova in 1973, he's 66 or 67. Time to ride off into the sunset. Why get involved in such a controversial thing as dropping from D1 to D3 at this stage in life, being hated by the community? Resign and go away.
