Hartford Athletic -2025

Fairfield not the only CT team with a big win today. Hartford went to San Antonio and beat 'em 2-0 to put the in the semifinals of the Cup. What cup you ask? It doesn't matter!

The highs and lows of lower-lever futbol. I go to bed celebrating one of our best wins ever and wake up to find out the star striker and leading goal-scorer is leaving for MLS. I knew we were in trouble when had that great game on national television a few weeks ago.

Did Dieng get sold to Minnesota? I haven't seen confirmation and yesterday was supposedly the close of the transfer window.

They just sent ticket selling email for tomorrow to "Say goodbye to MoMo" so yep. Hopefully Edwards can keep on scoring in Dieng's absence.

That kid Jack who scored a brace and looked good before he got hurt will be coming back for the Rhody game.

Attendance listed at 5,500. The round number draws suspicion but looking at the crowd in the video it's probably pretty close. Assuming a conservative $20 average, that's $110,000 in tickets, you add in parking, drinks, merch to game income. The HA also has a decent list of sponsors Trinity Health,of course, but also The Hartford, Stanley Tools, Travelers, Liberty Bank, CocaCola Northeast and Brignole Vineyards. Is that break even? Don't know. But if they keep winning.....

yeah but you might not get the same price either as teams might wait for contract to expire. 300k but the 35% sell on clause could pay off big if he does well and transfers to Europe.
I have his signed jersey. That could go up as well!

It was that crowded. Tons of people milling around. The big story is that all the reserved seats looked sold, they're the last to sell usually and they all cost more than $20. I'm convinced that part of what made this rivalry so spicy is that it's a proxy war for UConn-PC basketball. That and the Rhody fans have been absolute choads from the start. Their making the Finals last year made them even worse. But after last night, their fanbase reminds me of Dirk Diggler at the end of Boogie Nights. This game recap from a RIFC fan is the best thing I've read all year.

Another big win for Hartford Athletic last night. Comeback win was huge.

Bought my tickets for Jagermeister match next week too.

Team of Destiny! What a difference a month makes. compare below with Post #22.

Unfortunately, no...😞
Not flying to Sacramento. Will catch it on ESPN+/Hulu.

Game last night took a while to get going but once they broke the scoring seal and the guy went flying into the fence it really ratcheted up the intensity. We were in Row B about 10 feet away. He hit really hard. He was lucky he missed the support beam for the railing
