Bringing in a coach with a great resume is pointless if he has to work with the same players responsible for this terrible season.

The club has done done a good job of building a fan base and providing a nice game day experience.

Ramos brings a lot of credibility on the pitch to HA. That should help in the recruitment of players. At this point, getting to .500 next year would be an achievement and create some momentum. Best of luck to TR.

So they average 5,090 and capacity is 5,500.

That looks to be a little north of 90% capacity per game. I think that supports my post.

Yeah, I'm not sure what the point was. Last game sold out, too bad it was a flaming turd.

And held 10,000 a few years ago. Bonus points for right sizing though!

There really wasn’t a point. Maybe just putting something in perspective.
Then you failed there as well. You didn't put anything in perspective.

Athletic sold out again on Saturday. Not bad considering the Yard Goats were SRO just a couple miles down the road and UConn bringing 25K into The Rent at the same time.

It is well known that the Goats embellish and inflate their attendance numbers. I've been there plenty of times when the team announced it as a "sell out" and yet there were hundreds of empty seats.

Not that anyone would notice.

But..... Athletic has been 4-1-1 since Ramos took over. Just sayin.

That would sound more impressive if it wasn't following the team's worst effort of the month in losing badly to traditional bottom feeder Loudoun.

Team goes 5-1-1 over the last 7 and this guy wants to talk about the one loss.

Yes, because it was originally posted after they suffered a truly awful loss to a team that's been at the bottom of the table every year of its existence. Now that they rebound you find it convenient to take a shot at me. Fine. I want them to do well, but let's be accurate. Ramos actually didn't take over until the week of the the Tulsa home game. Since that time they are 3-1 with all games being against teams that have losing records and the three wins all being at home.

Ramos real impact will be next year. I'm hopeful the days of depending on the addition of older guys that are past their prime as they've done virtually every year (this year's version was the guy with the bleach blonde hair whose name I've already forgotten) and they can tap Ramos' connections from his days coaching the U20 team to bring more emerging young talent and really become the development team management claimed as its model.

They are much more dynamic on offense so far. I think the key has been Andre Lewis/Barrera dictating play and allowing Sade/Martinez some freedom to go forward. The Brewitt/Mcglynn swap is interesting as i knoew Reed really liekd Mcglynn.

I think the point of the older guys is true...not in the sense of skill....more in the sense of culture. They allowed teams to come back to many times and don't slam the door shut. Defense is pretty bad.

Wow. Apprently you worship late season wins against teams that are out of the playoff race as being undeniably meaninigful indicators. Of what? Is Athletic ready to be a contender? It's fine to point out they are 3-1. It's also reasonable to point out that they were playing bad teams and the loss was to a team that had never defeated Athletic in 11 previous meetings. I just put some context around the results but apparently anything short of rah rah rah offends your delicate sensibilities. OK. Three cheers for the 3-1 Athletic! If they started the season over we'd be at the top! Are you happy now?
