Kevin's not a passive observer in this situation. He's an active participant. We do know what he's done for CT, and we know as well the multiple bases upon which Kevin can and should be asked also to do the right thing. Legal settlement requires two willing parties. Nothing credibly argues otherwise in this case.

Borges: Ray Allen wants UConn to “make things right” for Kevin Ollie

>>”Like anything, it requires both sides to make concessions,” said Allen, on a day that was proclaimed ‘Ray Allen Day’ by Gov. Dannel Malloy. “At the end of the day, regardless of where people stand, when you strike a deal, nobody likes a deal you end up with. But if it’s good for both parties, that’s what you look for.”<<

>>”This guy was my leader, my point guard, he set the standard for me,” said Allen. “We need to make it right by him and move this thing forward.”<<

>>“I’m on both sides. I’m kind of in the middle, which is a wierd place to be,” he noted. “But, I believe both parties want the same things moving forward, and that’s what we’ve got to focus on. I’m not a finger-pointer, I’m a solution-finder. Let’s figure out how to turn the page and start building, like we’ve been doing. We have a new coach now, and we have to support him and make sure he has everything he needs to go forward and make sure our brand is strong and win games in all sports.”<<

Amore’s take: Ray Allen: UConn Needs To Do Right By Kevin Ollie

>>Allen doesn’t expect the dragged-out dispute to have long-term effects, or prompt a choosing of sides within the UConn men’s basketball family, a group which often reunites for Calhoun’s charity events. The All-Star Game, which benefits the Pat and Jim Calhoun Cardiology Center at UConn Health, has been staged every other August for 20 years.

“I don’t personally feel any discontent,” Allen said. Kevin’s situation is a stain on the family, on the state, but for the most part everyone who is at UConn, from UConn, we have great pride in the University. It’s an isolated incident that needs to be resolved.”<<

Wait, someone on the BY told us that all the UConn basketball alums were going to turn on the school because of the Ollie situation. So you mean they haven't? :)

I have a way you can help Ray! Donate about $10M to UConn and tell them it is for the Kevin Ollie buyout fund.

Amen. I think Ray's name is missing from the list of donors to the Werth Center and for the right amount of money it could have a name added.
