So some of us, it was a memorable event. MTV went live on August 1st, 42 years ago.
The first 4 videos :
• “Video Killed the Radio Star” - The Buggles
• “You Better Run” - Pat Benatar
• “She Won't Dance With Me” - Rod Stewart
• “You Better You Bet” - The Who
No idea who picked #3. I have looked but cannot find any of the footage from MTV's two trips to Storrs, CT during spring weekend. It was really exciting to be on campus for that. I think it was 1986 and 1987. If anyone knows where to find it, it would be cool to see that again.
