Given the OP subject. Thought I would share a true story. Have mentioned before on BY but figured I'm on ignore from most of the posters that saw my original post ..This is for Yarders that don't have me on ignore At a bar in Manchester about 12-14 years ago. Waiting for some biz associates for a beer. Dude walks in with UConn gear on and sits down a stool or two away from me. We're among the few people there ahead of HH crowd. Looks familiar. I say to him- Excuse me but are you Ricky Moore? Yes-Matta fact I am. So-Really friendly guy- fun conversation about UConn (was still employed there) and about Calhoun, etc. I bring up 77-74 game and how impressed I was with his impact as a player (for his career) and in particular-that game. I mentioned to him his outstanding defensive play on Trajan that changed the game. He says- I had to convince Calhoun in the last huddle to let me guard that dude-I knew I could make something happen.
Pretty cool experience-Totally random-Right place right time. Ricky was a class act. Go Huskies.
