While looking for myself and a friend over weekend did a little pricing breakdown for those that may be interested in value for this game

The best cheap uppers sections 322-325 Row 1 at $89.70 is best value upper IMO. Row 6 of those same sections starts at $76.45 if your just looking to get IN the door.

319-321 and 326-328 Row 1 uppers are $102.10. Obviously the other uppers closer to center court are close to the same cost and the Row 1 are around $120 but if your going to pay that IMO you can buy......

Lower Sections Loge 15 and 16 and Loge 19 and 20 Rows 23 and up for almost the same money $127.05.

The next cheapest Loge Section starts around Row 10 for $164.35 and then jumps to $195.45 for Row 1 or so. Obviously there's some other higher end price points but wanted to give my two cents on those maybe looking to get in cheaper or more value based. Hope this helps.

Seems like a good time to complain again about the fees Ticketmaster charges. Just insane. How do they get away with this? I guess it's pretty much because they have a monopoly. Why the heck is their added value worth this much? Why do the event sellers use them? For my tickets they charged a fee of 24.5% of the face value of each ticket. In what industry on the planet does a "broker" in the middle of a transaction charge that kind of percentage? It can't cost anywhere near that amount to run their company. I would think it would be very easy for a big venue with lots of events (e.g. MSG), or a team who sells a lot of tickets (e.g. the Red Sox), to get their own on-line system up and running, charge a reasonable fee like 5%, still make lots of money on these transactions since it can't cost that much to have an on-line ticket selling system, and save their customers money. And on top of that give a big middle finger to Ticketmaster!

I'm no fan, but consider that the electronic ticket system at every venue has to recognize the specific digital ticket, including via near field communication. Ticketmaster is largely responsible for that and ensuring that the tickets work at the location. If we had say, 20 different apps handling that, would it be a better experience for customers? In the old days, many venues maintained a ticket sales apparatus. Now it's all outsourced to Ticketmaster.

There is also Eventbrite, which some smaller places use. But I'm not sure there is a good fix for this situation. I was pleased to see that the prices quoted were inclusive of the fees. That's a step in the right direction.

I checked in with the same contact asking if they knew prices for the tickets releasing Friday. I was told they don’t have prices yet and to check back in Thursday.

To me, that means that depending on how many tickets sell this week to UConn/BYU fans the prices might change. Stop buying tickets guys!!! Haha

Interesting. So they use the pre-sales to project demand levels and then adjust the prices for the regular sale accordingly? Makes sense. I'll be pissed if the level tickets I bought get adjusted downward! Lol

Got seats so now it's down to logistics with 3 months to make them seems a low bar. Game says 7pm but yeah, plan on 6pm, so will try to arrive early enough to pregame.

Big spender! I wanted good seats but I wasn't going to go that far. I think Final Fours are the only time I spent that much. And that was for 3 games.

Expect horrendous traffic. Expect really challenging parking. If weather is bad, parking in the North Station garage is nice, as you never need to go outside.

All conjecture on my part, I just can’t think of a reason they wouldn’t tell me prices for the Friday releases at this point other than that. Could just be that the tickets to be released are a slightly different price, so if they have any of these left the prices they’d list will be different

TD garden is a lot like MSG, the balcony is pretty good, it’s not that high up at all. The TV view from the balcony is still a lot of fun, nothing like the worst seats at XL where you need to slouch to see the court sometimes

There is no subway connecting South Station and North Station. It's been an issue for decades.

Wait until you see the weekend night times on the commuter rail. Pro-tip: good luck with that. The only train after the game gets me home about 1:00 AM. I've lived in a town with two MBTA stops since 2003, have never once found it feasible to take the train to a weekend event.

The good news, for anyone who hasn't been to Boston Garden in a long time, is that the area has been heavily developed, there are lot more food and beverage options nearby than there used to be. That includes Lovejoy Warf on the river, which has a Night Shift Brewing location.

So the extra 30 or so minute walk is irrelevant late at night when trying to catch the very last train out of South Station? I've done the math for 20 years. It can't be done. Getting in isn't the problem. Those to the north can probably do it but the weekend MBTA schedule is terrible.
In theory I can go to Ruggles and switch to Orange, but there's aren't any trains home.

Anyway, hopefully we have a huge turnout for this game. If the weather is decent I'll probably stop at Night Shift.

Just thinking about this discussion some more, it's not that hard to drive into Boston on a Saturday. There won't be any traffic going in for the game. If you are worried about the high parking costs near the Garden you will find plenty of cheap parking in the Financial District, like the Garage at Post Office Square which is a flat $10 rate on the weekends, and walk 15 minutes to TD Garden. I used to do that all the time. Not a bad walk.
